When I received this necklace – made from melted glass – from my cousins this past Christmas, I had no idea how much of a staple it would become in my wardrobe. I liked it, sure – the texture is neat, the design is funky, and the colour pretty much lights itself from within. I just expected it to become an occasional part of my wardrobe. But it’s been sneaking its way into my outfits with increasing frequency (Previously worn on the blog here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). It’s surprisingly versatile. Who knew?
Meanwhile, the weather cooled since my outfit post with sandals. Obviously, my glee over wearing them was at fault, and I apologize to Winnipeg in general for my role in the cooling. Regardless, my stubborn nature got the better of me, as I have been dreaming about these shoes, bringing them back into rotation, wearing the heck out of them (have I mentioned how much I love them?). Since there is never any time like the present, I slipped them on, and squeaked my way about town.
Normally, the click of heels on pavement, linoleum or tile winds up being one of my favorite things about those high heeled shoes. These shoes – as a result of my wearing them into the ground last summer, as well as being a discount brand – they don’t click so much. They … squeak. But I still love them enough to overlook it, and will continue to wear my squeaky high heeled clogs until it is time for their retirement.
Also, I’m loving how my purple hair has been fading into light lavender in my bangs. Almost makes me want to put grey in my hair!
